The NordicTrack Commercial 2950 Treadmill is a popular choice for individuals who are looking for a reliable and high-quality treadmill for their home gym. However, as with any product, there are mixed reviews and experiences from customers who have used the product. In this real-time review, we will analyze the feedback provided by two different customers to gain insight into the performance and quality of this treadmill.
The first customer, who has been using the NordicTrack Commercial 2950 Treadmill for almost three months, is highly satisfied with the product. They use it daily for walking, running, and as a walking desk during work meetings. The customer did not experience any of the issues mentioned in other reviews, such as errors on startup, small width/length, or Bluetooth not working. They found the product easy to set up and use, and appreciated the fact that the Bluetooth worked well. The customer also mentioned that the treadmill was slim and easy to store when folded, and that it was relatively quiet during use.
Overall, this customer found the NordicTrack Commercial 2950 Treadmill to be a worthy investment, providing excellent value for money. They were impressed with the durability and versatility of the product, and felt that it met their needs as a walking and running machine.
In contrast, the second customer’s experience with the NordicTrack Commercial 2950 Treadmill was less positive. After purchasing the treadmill in March of 2021, they experienced a number of issues with the product. The electronic board failed within nine months of purchase, which required replacement. A few months later, the wooden board beneath the tread cracked, despite the fact that the treadmill is rated for users up to 300 pounds. Additionally, the replacement electrical board also failed after six weeks of use. Finally, the adjustment bolt for the rear roller snapped while the customer was running on the machine.
The customer expressed frustration with the fact that the treadmill was billed as commercial but clearly was not up to the standards of a commercial-grade product. They also mentioned that the iFit membership was an ongoing expense while the treadmill was inoperable. The customer purchased an extended warranty based on their experiences with the product, and found that NordicTrack was responsive to their failures. However, they expressed dissatisfaction with the fact that customer service was non-existent and did not provide helpful instructions for resolving their issues.
Taken together, these two reviews provide a mixed picture of the NordicTrack Commercial 2950 Treadmill. While one customer found the product to be a great investment with excellent value for money, the other customer experienced a number of issues with the product, leading to frustration and disappointment. It is important to note, however, that the majority of reviews for this product are positive, suggesting that it is a reliable and high-quality option for individuals looking for a treadmill with comprehensive warranties.
When considering purchasing the NordicTrack Commercial 2950 Treadmill, it is important to keep in mind that every customer’s experience will be different. While some may find the product to be highly satisfactory, others may encounter issues that detract from its value. It is important to weigh the pros and cons of the product carefully and to consider factors such as price, warranty, and features before making a final decision. Additionally, it may be helpful to read a variety of reviews from different sources to gain a more comprehensive understanding of the product’s strengths and weaknesses.
In conclusion, the NordicTrack Commercial 2950 Treadmill is a popular and highly rated treadmill option for home gyms. While there are mixed reviews and experiences from customers who have used the product, the majority of reviews are positive, suggesting that it is a reliable and high-quality option for individuals looking for a treadmill with comprehensive warranties. We have been using the ProForm PRO-9000 treadmill for about a week now, and so far, we are really loving it. It has some great features and has made our workouts much more enjoyable. Here’s what we have found so far.
Firstly, we want to note that delivery was curbside, which means that we had to get it into the house ourselves. This was a bit of a challenge since the treadmill weighs 300 pounds. We unboxed it on a tarp in the front yard and carried the pieces in. However, the motor section weighs around 290 pounds, so my husband had to carry it up the stairs, and we slid it across the floor. We definitely wouldn’t have been able to move it alone.
Assembly was straightforward, and we were able to put it together in about two hours. The instructions are well-written, and all the small parts are laminated to a large card, which makes it easy to keep track of everything. The instructions state that assembly requires two people, and we found this to be true.
The iFit membership has been great so far. We paid for an individual membership, and it’s an annual fee that we paid upfront. The library of workouts is extensive and well-produced, and the screen is a great size with clear volume. Matching the speed and incline to the “trainer’s” actions is quite addictive. We love the variety of workouts and the ability to track our progress.
In terms of the treadmill’s mechanism, we are praying that it keeps working since there have been reviews of customers receiving a “lemon” and having a terrible customer service experience with ICON, the parent company of ProForm and Nordic Track. So far, we haven’t had any major issues, but yesterday we did notice a squeak as the incline adjusted. Hopefully, this is just a small issue and won’t escalate into anything major.
Compared to my 10-year-old treadmill, the ProForm PRO-9000 is remarkably smooth, quiet, and well-cushioned, but we have limited experience with other models. We appreciate the details such as the multiple cup/stuff holders, the hydraulic brace that makes it easy to put the tread down, and the fans that work really well (the volume even adjusts automatically when they’re turned on!). However, we do find that the tread is a bit heavy for our older relatives to lift.
The Bluetooth heart rate monitor works great after getting the contacts moistened with contact solution or saliva, although we do find the latter a bit unpleasant. However, since I’m the only one using it, it’s not a major issue.
In terms of advice, we want to note that the ProForm PRO-9000 is a big machine that is tall, long, and heavy to move. It’s important to measure and plan before purchasing to ensure that it will fit well in your space. The measurements provided are accurate, and ours fit exactly as we planned.
Overall, we are really happy with the ProForm PRO-9000 treadmill so far. It’s a very solid and well-built machine with great features that make our workouts more enjoyable. The only concern is the potential for mechanical issues, but we’re hoping that we won’t encounter any major problems in the future. The software is a bit dated and takes a while to fully boot up into my iFit data, which is a bit frustrating in the age of instant-on tablets. However, this is a minor issue compared to the overall quality of the machine. We’ll be sure to update if anything changes, but for now, we’re very satisfied with our purchase.

The 9-inch LCD screen provides users with essential workout data, and the treadmill comes with 10 pre-programmed workouts. Although it lacks the immersive interactive features of the NordicTrack and ProForm models, the F80 still provides a high-quality workout experience.

- Two customizable user profiles
- 10 built-in workout programs
- Incline range of 0% to 15% for varied workout intensity
- Bluetooth connectivity for audio streaming and syncing with fitness apps
- Foldable design with Easy Assist for convenient storage
Cons
- Limited user profiles compared to other models
- No touchscreen display or interactive training platform
We recently purchased the Sole Fitness F80 Folding Treadmill and we have to say, we are thoroughly impressed. It has been about a week since we received the treadmill, and so far, we absolutely love it. We were a bit hesitant at first, after reading some reviews claiming it was a “piece of junk,” but we decided to give it a chance anyway, and we are glad we did.
Firstly, we want to mention that this is a heavy piece of equipment. The total weight is around 300lbs, with about 220lbs of that weight in the running board itself. We had the treadmill delivered to our front yard and moved each piece into our home ourselves, but we highly recommend having someone help you with this task. The running board is already assembled, so there aren’t too many components to put together, but it still took us a while to assemble everything. However, it wasn’t difficult, just time-consuming. The console was the most challenging part to assemble, but once it was put together, we were impressed with the solid and well-made machinery.
We decided to sign up for the free iFit package, which was not a problem at all. We did need to provide a credit card, but we weren’t charged, and we can always remove the card later if we choose not to renew the subscription. The individual subscription costs $180 per year, while the family package costs $360 per year.
During assembly, we found it helpful to use a socket set and a quality Phillips screwdriver, as some of the bolts and screws can be quite tight. In fact, we used a power driver on slow to get the screws in, and it made the process much easier. It took us around five hours to assemble the treadmill, but once it was up and running, it was impressive.
When using the treadmill, we found that it was no louder than any machine we had used at a gym. It runs smoothly, and the iFit interactive programs are fantastic. We particularly love the interface with Google Maps, which allows us to run or walk almost anywhere we want to. The iFit app shows us which roads are accessible using Google Maps, and it’s a great feature. We haven’t tried the live feature yet, but we are sure it is great.
The display on the console isn’t huge, but it gets the job done. Plus, with the HDMI output from the console, we can connect it to a larger screen, like a TV, and watch everything on there instead. We bought a 24″ Visio 1080P TV and had it mounted on the wall. We also love that the treadmill automatically adjusts the incline and decline to follow the terrain, and it’s easy to decrease the speed within a workout. When we’re ready to return to the current workout speed, it’s just a tap on the screen.
Overall, this treadmill is very motivating. During our workouts, we found it really cool that during the Grand Canyon descent, the trainer gives us some history of the Grand Canyon and some interesting information about it. We actually learned something during our workout! In the past, we had another treadmill from Horizon that we didn’t use much because we lacked motivation, but with this Sole Fitness F80, we are always looking forward to the next workout.
As for the noise level, we can’t really comment on that since we’re not sure how it compares to other treadmills, but it is about the same as our previous one. We love iFit, and it has been a great tool for our motivation during our workouts. It’s worth noting that the treadmill can work without iFit, but we find it to be a great addition to our workouts.

We recently purchased the Bowflex BXT216 Treadmill and have been using it for about a week now. So far, we are extremely satisfied with our purchase and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and sturdy treadmill.
One of the first things we noticed about the Bowflex BXT216 is its weight. This is a heavy piece of equipment, weighing in at 300lbs, with 220lbs of that weight being in the running board. While it was a bit of a challenge to move each piece into our home, we were able to do so without any major issues. We would recommend having help available, especially when moving the running board.
We read some reviews that stated the Bowflex BXT216 was a piece of junk, but we decided to order it anyway. We are glad we did because we have not experienced any issues with it so far. It arrived on time and was relatively easy to set up. The running board comes already assembled, which is a plus.
One thing to note is that the remote control may not work well at times. We found that if the battery is loose, it can cause issues with the remote. Simply repositioning the battery solved this problem for us. It’s worth noting that the remote is the only way to get the treadmill working, so it’s important to make sure it’s functioning properly.
After using the treadmill for several months, one user reported developing a squeak in the treadmill. They were able to remove the housing to access the belt and fix the issue. While this solution worked for them, it’s important to note that removing the housing can be dangerous for pets or children who may get caught in the treadmill. We recommend exercising caution when attempting any repairs on the machine.
Another user found that the software was slow to load, but we did not experience this issue. We found that the software loaded quickly and had no problem with its performance. It’s worth noting that the resolution can be adjusted from medium to high, which we found improved the video play.
Overall, we are very happy with the Bowflex BXT216 Treadmill. It’s a strong and sturdy piece of equipment that is quiet and works well. The stainless steel version has a sleek look and a very low profile even when set up. Our only complaint is that the safety handles cannot be attached when folding the treadmill, which makes it a bit of a hassle to set up and put away. It takes around 5 minutes to screw or unscrew the handles each time. However, we understand the importance of having safety handles available while using the treadmill, so we make sure to have at least one attached at all times.
In terms of its functionality, the Bowflex BXT216 has exceeded our expectations. It has helped us stay active each day and control our weight. It’s a great investment for anyone looking for a reliable and high-quality treadmill.

- Foldable design for convenient storage
Cons
- No touchscreen display or interactive training platform
- Slightly fewer built-in workout programs compared to other models
We recently purchased the Horizon Fitness 7.8 AT Treadmill and have been using it for about two weeks now. So far, we are absolutely loving it. One of the things that drew us to this treadmill was the fact that it doesn’t have a bulky display built-in, which we found to be unnecessary and often of poor quality on other treadmills. The speed and incline adjustments are lightning fast, and the treadmill itself is incredibly comfortable and smooth to run on.
However, we have noticed a slight squeaking noise coming from the treadmill, which is a little bit concerning. We’re not sure if it’s something we need to adjust or if it’s a defect in the machine itself. We plan on contacting customer service to see if they can assist us with this issue.
Speaking of customer service, we have had a positive experience with Horizon Fitness so far. We were a little hesitant after reading some negative reviews about their customer service, but we have had no issues with them thus far. We did have some trouble with the delivery process through Amazon, with the treadmill being delayed and the box arriving partially open, but that was not the fault of Horizon Fitness.
Assembly of the treadmill was not too difficult, but we did have one tip that we think could be helpful for others. It’s important to wait until the end of assembly before tightening down all the bolts and screws. This will help prevent any stripping that could occur if you tighten everything too soon.
One slight issue we have noticed with the treadmill is that the walking deck is a separate component from the control panel. This means that if you incline the deck, the control panel doesn’t move with it. This can be a little bit inconvenient for those who like to hold onto the control panel when running on a max incline, as you won’t be able to do so with this treadmill. However, this is a minor issue that doesn’t detract from the overall quality of the machine.
Overall, we would highly recommend the Horizon Fitness 7.8 AT Treadmill to anyone looking for a high-quality treadmill that doesn’t come with a bulky display built-in. The speed and incline adjustments are lightning fast, and the treadmill itself is incredibly comfortable and smooth to run on. We have had a positive experience with customer service thus far, and any assembly issues we encountered were easily resolved. The only minor issue we have noticed is the separate walking deck and control panel, but this is a small inconvenience in the grand scheme of things.
